Leena Yahia is a doctoral candidate at Queen’s University focusing on measurement, assessment, policy, leadership and evaluation of education. Holding a degree in Pharmacy, English Language and Literature and a MEd in Educational Leadership, Leena’s background and work experience cover a wide variety of experiences and perspectives in teaching, research, and leadership. In her previous roles, Leena worked in teacher training, quality assurance, and program evaluation in Canada and internationally. Leena’s research interests revolve around academic leadership, governance, and quality assessment and improvement. Additionally, she is interested in knowledge mobilization, community-engaged scholarship, and equity. This broad range of topics is held together by overarching philosophical questions about the purpose and role of education.
