The Early Analysis vehicle is a Call Order under the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Gender and Social Inclusion (GSI) Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA), where Limestone is a prime holder. Other members of our strong consortium include Social Development Direct and Causal Design. The Early Analysis Call Order will support/work with the MCC GSI team to integrate GSI considerations into MCC analyses that support the design of compacts and investments.
Integrating gender and social inclusion (GSI) is critical to MCC’s approach to achieving poverty reduction through economic growth. Therefore, MCC is working to consider GSI throughout the programs life cycle: from the initial country selection and early analysis to the development and design of projects, project implementation, the monitoring of program results, and evaluation of program impacts.
The Call Order aims to develop and implement frameworks to analyze gender and social inclusion and determine if they in and of themselves are a binding constraint to growth or a root cause of other binding constraints.
Limestone is aiding these efforts by helping the agency incorporate GSI analyses into the early stages of project design and planning. Such actions will help MCC more effectively work towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which aim to achieve gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls, and to promote equality and social inclusion more generally.
Led by Limestone, our Consortium brings significant experience in identifying the alignment between the business case and gender and social inclusion; understanding barriers to opportunities, and providing practical recommendations to address barriers and ensure program success.
