Huw Lloyd-Ellis

Academic Economic Advisor

Huw Lloyd-Ellis, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Economics Department at Queen’s University. He has over 25 years of experience conducting academic research in a broad range of areas, including economic development, growth and inequality, economic fluctuations, fiscal policy, and housing. His research is regularly published in leading academic journals, including the American Economic Review, the Review of Economic Studies, and the International Economic Review. Huw has taken on several administrative roles, including head of the Queen’s Economics Department (2013-2019). He teaches development economics and macroeconomics at both the undergraduate and graduate level. With Limestone, Huw has led various projects, most recently the development of a decision tool for assessing labor market outcomes for the World Bank.
