Project: Capacity Building in the Solomon Islands

Limestone and its subcontractor, Social Development Direct, were awarded a contract to support MCC’s Social Analysis unit under the Solomon Islands Threshold Program from 2023 to 2025.

As part of this engagement, the consortium was tasked with designing and delivering an in-person training course in Honiara for MCC’s implementing partner. The course focused on the relevance of social analysis for climate change, forestry, and livelihoods programming in the Solomon Islands. It also covered how to design and facilitate consultations in proposed project sites and how to strengthen communication with key stakeholders, including government and community groups.

The course combined theory with practical sessions and exercises. In addition to capacity building, the team provided on-demand support to review data collection instruments and consultation protocols, helping improve the quality of information used to inform project design.
